Sophia Antipolis
Located in the heart of the Brague Natural Park, within the Sophia Antipolis technology hub, our school welcomes children aged 2 to 15 in a green and modern environment.
Montessori is not just a pedagogy we apply, it is a way of looking at children and of living in harmony. Here are the pillars that guide us every day.
Montessori Pedagogy
Autonomy
The child chooses their activities among the lessons passed on by their educators, develops independence and builds their ability to act for themselves within a structured framework.
Confidence
A caring, relational and cooperative environment fosters self-confidence, the desire to learn, education for peace and fulfillment.
Individualized Learning
Each child progresses at their own pace, with personalized support that respects their needs, progress and concentration.
Prepared Environment
Montessori materials, classroom atmosphere, bilingualism and the well-prepared educator (academically, emotionally and psychologically) create an ideal environment that stimulates exploration, the senses and learning.
From 0 to 15 years old
Five learning environments, each carefully designed for a stage of your child's development.
Progressive development of autonomy, confidence, motor skills, language and social skills through a prepared environment adapted to the baby's needs. Through free exploration, manipulation and respectful interactions with adults and other children, they build their personality, refine their senses, develop awareness of their body and emotions, and discover the world at their own pace.
Development of autonomy, motor skills, spoken language and self-confidence through exploration, movement and practical-life activities, with sensorial and language materials. In an environment adapted to the child's size and needs, they gradually learn to care for themselves, their environment and to live harmoniously with others.
An environment that allows the child to become autonomous, enrich their sensory perceptions, refine their fine motor skills, explore language, awaken to culture and prepare for mathematics, reading and writing.
Enabling an autonomous life and personal expression, helping the child to take responsibility, develop a moral sense, discover the universe and acquire the tools of knowledge.
A place where children grow up with confidence, curiosity, and the joy of learning together.
Why to choose us ?

Nature
Our schools encourage daily contact with nature and outdoor activities for each childโs development and well-being.

An engaged leadership
A team driven by a shared conviction: every child deserves an environment that honours their development, their potential and their uniqueness, guided by values that shape every decision we make.
Born in Grasse, Nicolas holds an ESSEC degree and built an international career in the healthcare sector. After nearly 20 years travelling the world, he decided to return to his home region to create a bilingual Montessori school.
Father of two children who followed a Montessori education, he was won over by this innovative pedagogical approach and wishes to share it with other parents and children growing up in an international context.
Trilingual and drawing on 15 years of international experience, he is convinced of the advantage of learning languages through immersion from an early age.

Passionate about education and deeply attached to the idea that a school can be a living, stimulating and caring place. A French teacher by training, she had the opportunity to collaborate on the writing of several novels by foreign authors before naturally turning to the world of school, which fully corresponds to her values.
Trained in Montessori pedagogy, which she puts into practice with conviction, she worked for seven years as an educator, then managed a facility for several years.
She places great importance on the quality of the relationship with children, families and the team, and particularly enjoys supporting the projects that punctuate the life of a school.

I deeply believe that the child is the maker of the adult. To educate is also to sow the seeds of peace by nurturing the development of self-esteem, respect for others and for the world around us. This conviction guides my choices and gives full meaning to my commitment to children.
Today, I have the joy of putting my experience and skills at the service of children and their families as a Montessori educator and director of the school. Every day, I strive to offer children a setting that respects their pace and fosters their fulfilment.
My background is nourished by the study of different pedagogical approaches, of the child's psycho-sensory-motor development and of the functional analysis of the body in movement. It was during these studies that I discovered Maria Montessori's thinking and her profound understanding of every child's human potential. This encounter was decisive: I chose to devote myself to supporting children aged 2ยฝ to 6 and earned my Montessori Educator diploma at the Maria Montessori Institute in Lyon.
For more than ten years, I have supported children through this pedagogy, convinced that each one carries within them the strengths needed for their own construction. Our role is above all to recognise this potential, to take it into consideration and to offer the conditions that will allow it to reveal itself fully.
My commitment is to offer each child a prepared environment that responds precisely to their needs and to provide them, in Maria Montessori's words, with "help to life", so that they can grow in confidence, develop their autonomy and flourish fully.

My name is Aude-Claire, and I am of FrenchโLuxembourgish nationality.
I have been a Montessori educator for the 3โ6 age group for many years, and I have been the Head of the Les Colibris school in Suresnes since September 2025.
Watching children grow, develop, discover and make sense of the world around them makes me happy every day, and seeing their eyes light up when they become passionate about a subject or succeed at something new truly gives meaning to my work.
As a violinist, I love sharing my passion for music with them, and I occasionally bring my instrument into the classroom during circle time.
As Head of School, I am committed to bringing the Montessori pedagogy to life within the school, and to building a community of parents, children and educators in which everyone finds their place, feels part of the project, and gives the best of themselves.
The best way to understand what makes Les Colibris special is to hear from those who live it every day.
When they speak up
their story is shared.

Looking back, they share what the school gave them: confidence, curiosity, and the foundations that still serve them today.

For me, Les Colibris is the ideal school: it's the education I would have loved to receive as a child. I can see how fulfilled my daughter is, and I think that's truly wonderful.

I wanted to share with you some news since Luca started at Les Colibris โ we are VERY HAPPY with the results! For example, Luca is very good at tidying up. Not only does he do it well, he told me I should be gentler when putting the Legos back in their box, and he showed me how. He wanted my help putting on his socks, so he went to get a little step stool to sit on and get help. I'm starting to see his ideas and actions that I can also learn from. Thank you so much for all your efforts and for the love that we feel in the classroom and in the school.

Thank you again for this school year and for the workshop week. The children really had a great time, which wasn't a given for Luka who really didn't want to go at first. In the end, from the very first day, he was happy and eager to go back the next day. What a relief for this guilt-ridden mum, happy to know that the children feel as good at school as they do at home. The school is truly a second family for them.

The girls are so excited to visit the school this summer. Lilou really missed the school and so did little Manon. If we come back to France, we absolutely want to return to the school. Long live Maria Montessori and Long live Les Colibris! We can see many differences with the school here in Mauritius โ it was a wonderful adventure for the girls.

Thank you for this sweet moment spent with our child for Mother's Day. A moment dedicated to them, to us, where time stood still and nothing else mattered โ that's rare! Faustine was proud of the gifts she had prepared; she was gentle and calm while sharing this moment full of love. Thank you.
